A/B testing public space

Design firm SWA recreated the famous William H. Whyte activity studies of "the social life of small urban spaces" using computer vision on a number of public spaces in NYC, and was able to develop a taxonomy that could be used to inform future design research, education, and practice—as well as be used to reconfigure public spaces in real-time in A/B testing.
