OECD prioritizes equity for smart cities

In 2019, the OECD held its 1st Roundtable on Smart Cities and Inclusive Growth at the organization's headquarters in Paris, part of a new program which appears to have been responding to pre-existing calls for great attention to inclusive development globally, but after the pandemic are even more pronounced.

This could signal a shift towards a more coherent international strategy around the role of smart city technology and urban tech in poverty reduction and economic development.
