Programmable windows

825 Third Avenue is the first office building in New York City to feature exterior windows that double as fully programmable digital displays. The panes are installed by View, which has equipped more than 75 million square feet of buildings with smart glass whose opacity can be adjusted electronically.

This points towards a future where inert building facades and interior walls can become interactive portals to other locations or displays for information and digital services, further blurring the distinction between central and remote workplaces.
