Rapid decline in cost of grid battery storage

A full 7Gw of grid battery capacity are expected to come online in the US in the next few years. Costs have fallen 70 percent in the last 3 years alone. This could pave the way for a large-scale transition to renewables, and if done in a decentralized way, a more resilient power grid.
